Friends of Fitler Square Park runs on the work of our volunteer committees! If you’re interested in helping out with the park, but aren’t quite ready for the commitment of joining our Board, consider becoming a member of one of our committees. Each committee has a specific focus, and we’re always looking for experienced and passionate people to join our work. Communications Committee
The Communications Committee plans park communications throughout the year to recruit new members and promote park events and activities to current members. The Committee brainstorms and implements new recruitment and retention strategies and maintains the park’s social media channels (Facebook & Instagram), website, and newsletter.

Events Committee
The Events Committee plans and runs Fitler Square Park’s events throughout the year, including the annual spring event – Fitler Fun.

Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee works with neighbors and community partners to support the strategic initiatives of the board, with a focus on sustaining and improving the park. 

Grounds Maintenance
The Grounds Committee addresses the physical needs of the park – tree tending, garden weeding, and grass maintenance.
